VFS Global Bangladesh

VFS Global is an authorised visa application centre that collects documents and biometrics on behalf of the Ukrainian Embassy. VFS does not decide visa outcomes — the embassy does.

What VFS Global Does

VFS Global (Visa Facilitation Services) is a private company contracted by multiple embassies, including Ukraine, to manage the administrative side of visa applications. In Bangladesh, VFS Global operates a Ukraine Visa Application Centre in Dhaka. VFS's role is to:

  • Receive visa applications and supporting documents
  • Collect biometric data (fingerprints and photographs) where required
  • Forward the complete application to the Ukrainian Embassy for decision
  • Return the passport to the applicant after the embassy's decision
  • Provide application status tracking

VFS does not assess, approve, or reject visa applications. A VFS staff member cannot tell you whether your visa will be approved. The decision is made entirely by the Ukrainian Embassy.

VFS Bangladesh offers optional value-added services (document scanning, courier return, appointment rescheduling) for additional fees. These services are not mandatory and do not affect visa processing outcomes.

Booking a VFS Appointment

  1. Visit vfsglobal.com/ukraine/bangladesh
  2. Select your visa category and preferred appointment date
  3. Complete online registration and pay VFS service fee (card payment)
  4. Print appointment confirmation and bring it to your appointment
  5. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time
  6. Bring all original documents and copies, plus passport

Appointment availability varies. Book as early as possible — ideally as soon as your work permit and other documents are ready. Do not book an appointment before your documents are complete, as incomplete applications may be rejected at the VFS counter.

VFS Fees

VFS charges a service fee in addition to the Ukrainian consular fee. This is a separate, non-refundable administrative fee. The consular fee is paid separately (typically at the embassy or via bank transfer as instructed). Confirm current fee schedules on the VFS website before your appointment, as amounts can change.

Passport Return via VFS

After the embassy processes your application, the passport is returned to VFS for distribution. You can collect it in person at the VFS centre or opt for courier return to your home address (additional fee). Courier return is particularly useful for applicants outside Dhaka — applicants from Chittagong, Sylhet, Rajshahi, or Khulna can avoid a second Dhaka trip.

Important: VFS Is Not the Embassy

Do not attempt to pay VFS staff to influence your application. VFS staff have no decision-making authority — any claim otherwise is fraudulent. Do not provide original documents that you are not required to submit (e.g., property deeds, large cash amounts). If a VFS staff member asks for anything unusual, note it and contact the Ukrainian Embassy directly.
