What Information We Collect
We collect only the information we need to provide the service you have engaged us for. This means name, email address, WhatsApp contact, and the details of your immigration situation. For paid services, it means passport details, immigration history, employment and qualification documents, and any supporting documents you send for review.
We do not collect demographic data, browsing history, or any information beyond what is directly relevant to your case. We do not ask for financial account details. We do not require family member information unless it is directly relevant to the immigration route you are pursuing (for example, a dependent application).
| Passport and identity documents | Required for eligibility assessment and application preparation. Retained securely for the duration of the engagement and deleted on conclusion. |
|---|---|
| Immigration history | Required to assess eligibility accurately. Previous visas, refusals, and deportations are material to legal advice. Not shared with any third party. |
| Employment and qualifications | Required to determine permit category and salary threshold compliance. Handled only by our staff. |
| Contact information | Used to communicate about your case only. Not added to marketing lists without explicit consent. Never sold or shared with agents or third parties. |
How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to provide the service you engaged us for. We do not use client information to market other services to you without your explicit consent. We do not sell, share, rent, or disclose your information to Bangladeshi recruiting agents, BAIRA members, sub-agents, employers, or any third party without your explicit written consent.
We do not share client information with other clients. We do not use anonymised case details in marketing materials or blog posts without written consent. We do not disclose information to any government authority — Ukrainian, Bangladeshi, or otherwise — unless we are legally compelled to do so under Ukrainian law, and even then we would notify you to the extent permitted by that legal obligation.
Professional Confidentiality
Ukrainian-licensed lawyers are bound by professional confidentiality obligations under the Law of Ukraine 'On the Bar and Legal Practice' (Закон України «Про адвокатуру та адвокатську діяльність»). This is not a policy we have chosen to adopt — it is a legal obligation enforceable by the Ukrainian National Bar Association (НААУ).
This means that information you share with our lawyers in the context of an engagement — your immigration history, family situation, financial circumstances, documents — cannot be disclosed to third parties without your consent, and cannot be used against you. Lawyers have a duty of confidentiality that goes significantly beyond the language of a standard privacy policy. A breach of that duty carries professional disciplinary consequences including suspension from practice.
We do not report enquiries to Bangladesh authorities, BMET, the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or any Bangladeshi government body. Your enquiry is confidential. Contacting us does not trigger any notification to Bangladeshi authorities.
Document Handling
Documents you send for review are handled only by our staff. They are not shared, sold, or used beyond the scope of your case. We do not store copies of passports or original identity documents beyond the immediate engagement need. When an engagement concludes, we delete digital copies of sensitive documents and confirm deletion to the client on request.
We do not request documents via social media direct messages, public group chats, or unencrypted channels. Sensitive documents should be shared only through the secure channels explicitly designated in your engagement agreement — typically encrypted email or a secure upload link.
Third-Party Tools and Hosting
We use Resend for email delivery of contact form submissions. This website runs on standard Next.js infrastructure hosted on Vercel. We do not use analytics tools that identify individual users by name. We do not use third-party CRM software that stores client information outside of our operational control without your consent.
We do not use embedded social media tracking pixels. We do not integrate with Facebook, LinkedIn, or Google advertising platforms in ways that pass client information to those platforms.
Data Retention and Your Rights
We retain case files for the period required by Ukrainian professional practice rules. For enquiries that did not proceed to an engagement, you can request deletion of all data we hold and we will comply within a reasonable period. For completed engagements, retention periods are governed by Ukrainian legal practice regulations — typically five years for legal file retention.
You have the right to request what data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to request deletion of pre-engagement enquiry data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@uavisa-bd.com. We will respond within five working days.
