What grounds allow a TRP?
Employment (work permit holder), study (enrolled at a Ukrainian educational institution), family (spouse of a Ukrainian citizen, or family member of a foreigner holding a TRP), and founders with a share of at least EUR 100,000 in a Ukrainian company (Law No. 3773-VI, Art. 4(12), (14), (15)).
How long is a TRP valid?
It depends on the ground (Resolution No. 322, para. 4): for employment, the work period stated in the work permit; for study, the study period set by the institution's order; for founders or participants of a legal entity registered in Ukraine, 2 years; in other cases, per the documents filed, up to 1 year.
Can I travel outside Ukraine on a TRP?
Yes, with your valid TRP and passport (Law No. 3773-VI, Art. 15). Time abroad matters for a later immigration permit: a single private trip over 90 days, or more than 180 days abroad in a year, breaks continuous residence (Law No. 2491-III, Art. 1).
