Any agent in Chittagong claiming they can process a Ukrainian visa locally, or that they have a special channel to the embassy, is lying. Files are accepted only at the VFS Global Ukraine centre in Dhaka, and the decision belongs to the Embassy of Ukraine in New Delhi. Which Visa Type Applies — Type D (Long-Stay)
Bangladeshi nationals travelling to Ukraine for work or study need a Type D visa — the long-stay national visa. Type D visas for employment are issued on the basis of a Ukrainian work permit issued by the State Employment Service of Ukraine (Державна служба зайнятості, DSZ). A Type D work visa file needs a certified copy of that work permit (Resolution No. 118, para. 8).

Where You Apply — the VFS Global Ukraine Centre in Dhaka
Ukraine has no embassy or consulate in Bangladesh. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine lists the Embassy of Ukraine in New Delhi as accredited to Bangladesh; that embassy decides, and files from Chittagong go to the VFS Global Ukraine centre in Dhaka.

Employer secures Ukrainian work permit
Your Ukrainian employer applies to the State Employment Service (DSZ). By law DSZ decides within up to 7 working days of registering the employer's application (Law No. 5067-VI, Art. 42-6). The employer sends you a certified copy of the permit for the visa file. Do not pay any agent or intermediary who claims they can expedite this from Bangladesh — the permit is issued in Ukraine.
Prepare all documents in Chittagong
Complete your medical fitness check at a BMET-approved centre in Chittagong. Prepare bank statements, one 35 × 45 mm photo, medical insurance with at least €30,000 cover and the visa form registered on visa.mfa.gov.ua. Allow 2–3 weeks for this stage. Return to Chittagong — wait for processing

Complete BMET Smart Card clearance
With your D-visa in hand, attend BMET for Smart Card (pre-departure) clearance. This can be done at the Chittagong BMET office for Chittagong Division residents, or at the BMET head office in Dhaka. Check the current processing time with the BMET office.
Travel to Ukraine and file for TRP on time
On arrival in Ukraine, file the Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) documents at the local State Migration Service (DMSU) office no later than 15 working days before your permitted stay ends (Resolution No. 322, para. 17).
