In short: Tangail applicants do the local steps at home (passport, BMET) and then lodge the Ukraine visa file in Dhaka at the VFS Global Ukraine visa centre, the only Ukraine visa centre in Bangladesh; the Embassy of Ukraine in New Delhi decides.
Where Tangail applicants submit
There is no Ukrainian consular service in Tangail. All Ukraine visa applications in Bangladesh are lodged at the VFS Global Ukraine visa centre in Dhaka (Ukraine has no embassy in Bangladesh; the Embassy of Ukraine in New Delhi decides). Plan for at least one trip to Dhaka for biometrics and document submission.
What to do locally in Tangail
Machine-readable passport (MRP/e-Passport)
Apply or renew at the Regional Passport Office, Tangail. For the visa, the passport must be valid at least 3 months after your planned departure from Ukraine, with two blank pages, and issued within the last 10 years (Resolution No. 118, para. 5); a TRP later needs a passport valid for its whole term, so renew early if it is close to expiry.
Police Clearance Certificate (only if requested)
A PCC is not on the visa document list; the consul may request it (Resolution No. 118, para. 10). It is applied for online at pcc.police.gov.bd. If a Ukrainian authority asks for a PCC, it needs an apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.
BMET registration & training
Register for BMET clearance; pre-departure orientation is available at the Tangail Technical Training Centre (TTC). BMET Smart Card clearance is mandatory before departure.
Travel to Dhaka for the visa appointment
Book the VFS Global appointment yourself, then travel to Dhaka for biometrics and submission. Keep originals and your own money — do not hand documents to a local fixer.
Proximity to Dhaka makes Tangail workers a target for middlemen who offer to “handle everything” at VFS for a fee. You do not need a fixer to submit at VFS — book your own appointment and keep control of your documents and money.

- MRP/e-Passport valid at least 3 months after your planned departure from Ukraine, two blank pages, issued within 10 years
- Visa form registered on visa.mfa.gov.ua, printed and signed
- One colour photo 35 × 45 mm
- Certified copy of the Ukrainian work permit from the State Employment Service
- Medical insurance with at least €30,000 cover
- Proof of sufficient funds or of lawful income in Ukraine
- Consular fee receipt (Resolution No. 118, paras. 5, 8)
- Police Clearance Certificate: only if the consul requests it (para. 10), with an MFA Bangladesh apostille
