Applying for a Ukraine Visa from Noakhali

Noakhali is a major labour-migration district. There is no Ukrainian embassy in Noakhali; all Ukraine visa applications are lodged in Dhaka. This guide explains the local steps (passport at the Maijdee office, police clearance, BMET) and the Dhaka embassy process.

In short: Noakhali applicants do the local steps at home (passport, police clearance, BMET) and then submit the Ukraine visa in Dhaka — the only place in Bangladesh with a Ukrainian Embassy and VFS Global centre.

Where Noakhali applicants submit

There is no Ukrainian consular service in Noakhali. All Ukraine visa applications in Bangladesh are submitted through the Ukrainian Embassy and VFS Global in Dhaka. Plan for at least one trip to Dhaka for biometrics and document submission.

What to do locally in Noakhali

01

Machine-readable passport (MRP/e-Passport)

Apply or renew at the Regional Passport Office, Noakhali (Maijdee). Ensure at least 18 months of remaining validity before you start the Ukraine process.

02

Police Clearance Certificate

Apply through your local police / district Special Branch. The PCC later needs consular legalisation (not apostille) for use in Ukraine.

03

BMET registration & training

Register for BMET clearance; pre-departure orientation is available at the Noakhali Technical Training Centre (TTC). BMET Smart Card clearance is mandatory before departure.

04

Travel to Dhaka for the visa appointment

Book the VFS Global appointment yourself, then travel to Dhaka for biometrics and submission. Keep originals and your own money — do not hand documents to a local fixer.

Noakhali — local scam warning

Noakhali workers are frequently targeted by agents promising fast Ukrainian jobs. Treat any “pre-approved visa slot” or cash-only “government fee” as a red flag — Ukrainian state fees are paid by the employer, not collected in cash in Noakhali.
