Applying for a Ukraine Visa from Brahmanbaria

Brahmanbaria sends a large number of workers abroad each year. No Ukrainian consular service operates in Brahmanbaria — the Ukrainian Embassy and VFS Global are only in Dhaka. Prepare your documents locally, then travel to Dhaka for biometrics and submission.

In short: Brahmanbaria applicants do the local steps at home (passport, police clearance, BMET) and then submit the Ukraine visa in Dhaka — the only place in Bangladesh with a Ukrainian Embassy and VFS Global centre.

Where Brahmanbaria applicants submit

What to do locally in Brahmanbaria

01

Machine-readable passport (MRP/e-Passport)

Apply or renew at the Regional Passport Office, Brahmanbaria. Ensure at least 18 months of remaining validity before you start the Ukraine process.

02

Police Clearance Certificate

Apply through your local police / district Special Branch. The PCC later needs consular legalisation (not apostille) for use in Ukraine.

03

BMET registration & training

Register for BMET clearance; pre-departure orientation is available at the Brahmanbaria Technical Training Centre (TTC). BMET Smart Card clearance is mandatory before departure.

04

Travel to Dhaka for the visa appointment

Book the VFS Global appointment yourself, then travel to Dhaka for biometrics and submission. Keep originals and your own money — do not hand documents to a local fixer.

Brahmanbaria — local scam warning

Because Brahmanbaria has heavy outbound migration, “visa dalal” networks are active. A common local scam is an “invitation letter” sold as if it were a work permit — it is not. Verify any Ukrainian employer through the EDRPOU registry before paying for anything.
